Rufus – For Charity

This is the fifth of many images drawn of family owned pets, I wanted to give a gift to my mother-in-law. This is one of the earliest pets I wanted to include in my posters for Mothers and Father’s day.

As per one member of the family “. He was a goofy typical lab who loved car rides, swimming, and to play fetch, even fetch underwater. I remember him trying to drag me around the house by the cuffs of my pant legs when I was probably about 7 or 8 years old. We spent a great deal of time together, though he was a family pet, and not just my dog.”

I also shared this image with the humane society so that they could auction it off at their largest fundraiser “The Bow Wow Ball.” The poignancy of this image is that he was a rescue animal.
