Roxie – For Charity

This is the eleventh image in a set for two projects: Father’s Day and a Birthday. All images are of rescued / adopted animals which is the epitome of the Humane society. The images were amalgamated into one of 3 images and then individually printed for the Humane society to auction at their largest annual fundraiser “The Bow Wow Ball.

Roxie was brought to my house at about 3 months of age, by an acquaintance, on behalf of a friend. It seemed that the friend had recently taken her in, but was now looking for someone to care for this black Lab and Rottweiler mix puppy for a few weeks due to a family emergency overseas. He promised that he would return in a few weeks, however she had become attached to our family.. She was taken back to her original home, but apparently was not happy there, and became depressed and began regressing in her training and manners. The acquaintance called and asked if I would be willing to keep her myself. I agreed.

I have not once second guessed my decision, as she has become a fine companion, and is also fiercely loyal.”
