Tuko Portrait
A client had requested an image of her own pet to be drawn as a Father's Day gift for her Husband....
This is the eighth image in a set of twelve for three projects: Mother’s day, Father’s Day and a Birthday. All images are of rescued / adopted animals which is the epitome of the Humane society. The images were amalgamated into one of 3 images and then individually printed for the Humane society to auction at their largest annual fundraiser “The Bow Wow Ball.
This is from one family member: “Willie was an unfortunate dog who had been adopted by some people and later abandoned along with 4 other dogs and 7 cats. I was told of the situation when I noticed that he and one other dog were running around along a busy highway. I managed to corral both dogs and we kept Willie and my friend Gunhild took Rex, the other dog. Willie had absolutely no manners, no training of any description and he weighed well over 100 lbs. Much time and patience brought about quite a change in our Willie. He was still a very exuberant dog, but had some manners and knew commands. He got along very well with everyone, dog, cat, human and I’m sure if he ever encountered any wild critters such as wolves, coyotes or bears, if he had his way they’d become pals. Willie was a real joy to have in our household, however we only had him for 5 years.”
