This is the sixth of images of rescued animals that I drew initially for a Mother’s day gift and that extended to a Birthday gift for a client. Eventually these individual images were given to the Humane society for their largest fundraising event, the “Bow Wow Ball.” It was truly fitting as each of these images were of rescued animals that had been abandoned.
This is from one family member: “The first order of business was to change his name as Dodger just wasn’t the right fit. I recall that mom suggested Simon, and it stuck. Simon quickly adapted to living with us and was soon leaving his white hair on virtually every piece of furniture in the house. He did not bark for at least 3 to 4 months, and we were unsure if he was able to. When he finally did, we were not the only ones surprised, as even he seemed to be startled by his own voice the first couple times. After about 3 years he went to live with Tom as circumstances dictated that mom and I were unable to keep him in an apartment, and Tom had bought a house.”
